 The Edron Academy

For over 50 years, the Edron Academy has been a leading school in Mexico City, known for its values and academic success. It is the first COBIS Accredited Member school in Mexico.
With a strong emphasis on inclusion, the school aims to inculcate a sense of respect for the individual, coupled with each student realising potential and being the best they can be. The same applies to staff who are highly valued and supported, with a strong commitment to professional development.

A bilingual and bicultural school, Edron Academy has over 1,000 students, aged 2-18, in Kinder, Primary and Secondary. The English National Curriculum (including EYFS), IGCSE courses from Cambridge University and the International Baccalaureate Diploma are studied as well as the Mexican National Curriculum. The common pattern is for children to join in Kinder and stay throughout their school career. The school offers a unique opportunity, a very good environment and a happy learning experience provided by dedicated and committed staff.

In total, there are over 230 staff with a roughly 60/40 split between Mexican and British teachers. Over 90% of students are Mexican, with the remainder drawn from 14 nationalities. Above average results are achieved in both IGCSEs and the IB with 96% gaining 5 or more A-C passes in the former and a 100% pass rate in the latter. All graduating students go on to university in Mexico, USA, Canada or Europe.

The structure involves a Senior Leadership Team led by the Head Teacher with Heads of Secondary (also Deputy Head), Primary and Kinder along with the Head of Administration/Finance Director, I.T. Manager, PR/Communications Manager, Human Resources Manager and Organisational Development Manager. There are leadership teams in each school and great emphasis is placed on providing leadership opportunities.

A forward thinking, progressive and creative school, the Edron Academy welcomes colleagues who have a similar outlook, committed to education, progress and professional development.
